To expand our Country Desk Sri Lanka, we are looking for a Programme Coordinator*
This position is only filled locally. With contractual conditions of the respective country. An expatriation is not intended.
The Office is located in Pelawatte, Battaramulla, Sri Lanka

These are your key responsibilities

  • Support the Country Representative (CR) to successfully plan and implement, CBM and other donor funded projects in Sri Lanka.
  • Ensure that suitable mechanisms and processes are in place to capture qualitative and quantitative information from the field; Analyse this information to; monitor progress, assess the impact of field activities against project objectives and produce reports to targeted audiences; provide support to partner organizations for the successful implementation of all aspects of its programmes.
  • Support each partner in project implementation, including annual planning, according to agreed budget allocations to meet with project deliverables and donor targets within the agreed timeline.
  • Planning and facilitating the activities required to complete concept notes to full proposal, to meet deadlines, working along with colleagues, partners and resource persons to gather information and data and working along with the CR to deliver high quality donor proposals to the deadlines.
  • Introduce and train partner organizations on various reporting template and guidelines applicable to CBM and donors and support/ensure timely reporting to the required standards and accuracy.

These are your qualifications

  • A degree in social sciences
  • Five years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience of working in rights-based approach programme
  • Experience of working with a range of stakeholders to achieve project objectives, incl. beneficiaries, community volunteers, government staff and I/NGOs
  • Experience of managing project budgets and reporting on project progress
  • Experience of working within a clear governance structure
  • Professional Proficiency English knowledge and Sinhala/Tamil language knowledge would be advantageous
  • Good knowledge in MS Office package and knowledge of MS Navision would be advantageous
  • Desirable:
    • Experience of working with children and persons with disabilities
    • Experience of supporting and motivating field/implementation staff
    • Experience of identifying gaps and designing capacity building programmes
  • Identification with the Christian values and mandate of CBM
