Position Summary:

Social Impact is seeking a full-time Program Manager (PM) to assist with the recruitment and backstopping of short-term consultants and provide project administrative and logistical support to the FSSC II project team. The PM will help manage a portfolio of short-term assignments from inception and mobilization through completion. In addition, the PM will prepare project budgets, manage the consultant database, maintain all related project documents, and provide inputs for quarterly and annual reports.

This position is based in the Project’s office in Arlington, VA, and reports to the Chief of Party.

The position will be full-time, and will run through the end of the project in May 2024, with potential for extension.

**Please Note: This position is based in the FSSC II Project office in Arlington, VA, with in-person work required three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). Candidates are required to be based in the DMV area. **

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, recruit, and manage consultants from initial contact to hire date, including completion of references, background checks, and other due diligence activities.
  • Provide programmatic and administrative support to project operations, including processing consultant expense reports, review and approve timesheets, process vendor invoices, reconcile credit card charges, prepare assignment budgets and consultant agreements, and manage consultants’ activities in the field.
  • Provide logistical support to consultants, including but not limited to arranging travel and hotel reservations, and securing visas.
  • Contribute to quarterly reports, annual reports, and other project deliverables as needed.
  • Manage the consultant database.
  • Respond to all consultant requests within a 24-hour timeframe.
  • Assist with client reporting.

Qualifications:

  • BA in International Development, International Relations, or related field and at least three years of relevant project/program support experience ideally in USG-funded international development program/project experience, preferably supporting USAID-funded projects. OR
    • MA in relevant field and at least two years of experience related to the above.
  • Experience in conducting recruitment and management of consultants or staff, including sourcing, outreach and correspondence, candidate analysis, and consultant offers, agreements and onboarding. Experience with candidate databases preferred.
  • Experience in project operations, management, and administration, including budget development, logistics, and invoicing.
  • Ability to follow through on multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft standard applications and familiarity with using databases.
  • Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint a plus.
