This position provides support to Hala’s Compliance Department for the management of grants and reporting to donors. The position will ensure that project implementation is compliant with grant commitments and timelines. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable previous experience producing high-quality program reports.

This is a full-time position open to candidates based in Lisbon or willing to relocate to Lisbon, with a yearly salary range of 45.000€ – 60.000€.

We’ll trust you to:

• Manages day-to-day support to one or more portfolios of grants, including communicating and assisting the Grants Manager and overseeing adherence to project requirements, government regulations, and Hala’s policies.

• Maintain up-to-date files for each grant.

• Responsible to track donor reporting timelines and requirements for a portfolio of grants.

• Responsible to draft donor reports for a portfolio of grants and organizing inputs from relevant team members.

• Responsible to input project information into client reporting systems.

• Support the review and tracking of donor compliance requirements.

• Prepare simple modifications or amendments to agreements.

• Support with reviewing invoices and coordinating consultants.

• Support with procurements and travel under the grants.

• Support recruitment of long- and short-term project personnel in accordance with Hala’s policy.

• Support the preparation of other documents as needed, for internal or external communication, about grant progress.

• Provide other support to the Hala’s Compliance Department, as needed, related to grants and program management.

• May assist with planning, preparation, and management of program budgets and expenditures.

• Support the Program Officer in the coordination of Programs

• Experienced in building new hardware products as well as innovating to expand the impact and reach.

We’d love to see:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant grant management experience. Experience in any of the contexts where Hala works would be an asset (Syria, Yemen, Sudan)

• Experience in the humanitarian or development sector.

• Familiarity with government donors.

• Very good writing and organization skills.

• Strong attention to detail

• Demonstrated resourcefulness in problem solving and initiative to learn new skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google applications and word processing abilities
