Position Overview

In the role of Launch Control at Lilium, you will play a critical role in the successful launch and ongoing operations of our new manufacturing facilities. In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, resolving issues, optimizing delivery, controlling costs, and positively influencing teams. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of flexibility, be action-focused and data-driven, and have strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Your Day To Day

  • Act as the coordination point for ensuring our plan to start production operations runs smoothly. Focus on getting things ready for production launch and ensure all the necessary support is in place. Be the go-to person for handling problems and reporting them, working with different teams to fix things quickly.
  • Stay fleible and adapt to changes in how we operate. Work closely with the production, planning, and control teams to give feedback that helps us adjust the production plan as needed. Take charge of making improvements to our products and processes based on the issues we find.
  • Lead meetings with teams to solve problems quickly and keep things running smoothly. Make sure we capture and prioritize any safety issues with the products or processes. Work closely with the team leader to address safety concerns within the agreed time.
  • Work closely with the quality team to prevent problems before they happen and take action with the whole team to fix any issues that do come up. Keep a close eye on what’s happening on the shop floor and give detailed reports.
  • Understand where we fall short of our efficiency targets and plan ways to improve with the whole team. Coordinate with the manufacturing engineering and planning teams to make sure our production plan is accurate and matches our improvement goals.

About You

We are looking for someone action-orientated who can think on their feet and solve issues as they arise. A great collaborator who is happy to work with a wide variety of people to make sure problems are quickly identified, understood and resolved.

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is important, and experience in a manufacturing or operations role, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment is preferable. You should have a good understanding of production processes, quality management systems, and continuous improvement methodologies and of course, excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
