Principal Product Manager, MENA CX and Catalog – 2918

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager, to own the Catalog charter for MENA region. MENA is a dual language market, and this role will over index on ensuring Arabic Catalog is geared to achieve best in class quality WW. This role will also manage EN catalog for the region, as that is a direct input into Arabic for a large part of our selection.

This charter is ambiguous requiring the candidate to problem solve uniquely. We require someone to set the direction of what a high quality, cost efficient catalog structure should be for our markets. The stakeholders for this role will be MENA Tech Catalog, WW translation/Catalog teams and MENA Business leadership.

While this charter can rest on WW roadmaps, you will be required to partner with other teams to co-create Products or innovating new products bottom-up for our region. Catalog is present throughout the customer’s shopping journey on site, and this role will intersect with other CX pods such as Search, Discovery and Evaluation. A successful candidate would prioritize what is locally relevant to our customers, including the familiarity, adequacy and fluency for Arabic and EN Catalog that is customer facing or an upstream input for other partner functions. You will be required to collaborate with various work streams, product managers locally and globally, technology, and business leaders across Amazon. The ideal candidate would have a broad skill set including analytical horsepower, business judgment, technical aptitude, strong influencing skills, deep curiosity about how things work, and a passion for creating a world-class catalog experience for our customers.

You will articulate and deliver comprehensive opportunities that link Catalog quality to other aspects of customer experience. You will need to have an eye to spot and relate customer pain points into an actionable product roadmap, Think Big and own the long-term vision on Catalog quality. You will partner with senior leaders to drive cross-organizational initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

• 11+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience with end to end product delivery
• Experience as a product manager or owner
• Fluency in Arabic

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience owning technology products
• MBA
• Experience in Catalog set up and architecture. Arabic fluency preferred.
