Amazon Web Services is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and building a team of world class business development professionals to establish relationships and manage the success of our Technology and Consulting partners. As a partner development manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to generate awareness and adoption of the AWS cloud computing platform including Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, Amazon Cloud Front, Amazon Cloud Search and Amazon Market Place by key IT business partners in Korea.

Key job responsibilities

  • Proactively identifying IT service providers who can lead the market transition to the Cloud and effectively manage the relationship with them.
  • Facilitating the adoption of cloud services and managing existing partnerships with managed service providers, resellers, and professional services firms.
  • Identifying potential partners in specific customer segments and industry verticals, and creating compelling value propositions around AWS services to engage them.
  • Positioning AWS as the preferred cloud computing platform for the partner organization across all product lines.
  • Maintaining a robust pipeline of projects and opportunities for the partners, ensuring continued growth and success.
  • Utilizing CRM systems and other analytical tools to establish detailed metrics for tracking purposes and measuring partner performance.
  • Preparing and delivering comprehensive business reviews to the senior management team, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in partner management or business development within the software/technology industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of partner dynamics and the ability to effectively manage partner relationships.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing a team responsible for partner sales, ensuring they deliver exceptional results and meet objectives.
  • Consistent overachievement of quotas and key performance metrics, showcasing a strong sales and business development background.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences across different functions.
  • Strong program management skills, specifically focused on designing and implementing scalable programs that support a large number of customers and partners.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships across internal and external organizations.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects, while also effectively leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex challenges and drive successful outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Masters degree
  • 15+ years of IT industry experience
  • Technical qualification
