Tetra Tech International Development (http://www.tetratech.com/intdev) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a potential Gender-Based Violence Prevention (GBV) Manager position on an anticipated USAID-funded program in Guatemala.

The proposed activity aims to support women, men, children, adolescents and other vulnerable groups who are victims of gender-based violence and intrafamily violence in targeted communities with high rates of violence and out-migration to the United States.

This will be a long-term position for five years based in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

Responsibilities:

* Identify and reinforce existing GBV prevention and support mechanisms, and work closely with local counterparts to ensure community buy-in and cultural appropriateness of activities;

* Work relevant stakeholders at all levels – including government entities, the private sector, civil society organizations, iNGOs and local NGOs, and communities to develop appropriate prevention and awareness-raising/behavior change strategies;

* Provide day-to-day management and coordination of project prevention activities;

* Lead capacity building efforts for relevant staff, local counterparts, organizations, and communities on GBV prevention and response;

* Provide timely advisory support in the design of GBV prevention tools and strategies in relevant programmatic areas;

* Contribute to information-sharing and data management systems, and support with accurate quarterly and annual report-writing;

* Coordinate with local and international organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure holistic prevention and support strategies for GBV survivors, including participation in strengthening current referral pathways and victim attention maps;

* Design and implement gender-based violence prevention activities in targeted communities, including working with youth and men to reduce gender-based violence;

* Ensure effective programmatic prevention response to areas of highest vulnerability to gender-based violence;

* Liaise with relevant stakeholders at all levels – including government entities, local community organizations, civil society, and the private sector to strengthen capacity of institutions providing prevention and response services to populations at risk of gender-based violence and irregular migration;

* Monitor and evaluate the work of team members and partners;

* Contribute to the development of annual workplans in line with financial pipelines;

* Ensure compliance with donor regulations.

Qualifications:

* Master’s degree in social work, public health, psychology, law, public or business administration, international development, or a related field;

* At least seven (7) years of experience with GBV prevention and response programming and implementation in support of vulnerable populations including women, indigenous communities (Mayan and Garifuna), at-risk youth and LGBTQ+ groups;

* At least five (5) years supervisory work experience;

* Proven knowledge and experience in developing and implementing community mobilization projects;

* Familiarity with international humanitarian and development interventions and coordination structures;

* Full professional proficiency in Spanish is required.
