Your future team
AIG’s Portfolio Management team monitors, analyzes, and manages our growing Long Duration A&H portfolio, managing all major KPIs and trends in new sales, retention, loss experience, etc. across products and benefits. This team is the “glue” across product development, sales, claims, customer service, and other major functions in ensuring sustainable and profitable growth of our Long Duration A&H business. In addition, all major analysis and reporting will come from this team, which will serve as the main updates to our upper management locally, Regionally, and Globally.

Your contribution at AIG
As a portfolio analyst, you are respected for your ability to monitor and manage our growing Long Duration A&H portfolio. You will need to conduct diligent analysis of our portfolio and manage & own trend indicators and KPIs to ensure profitable and sustainable growth of the portfolio. You will also be responsible for managing the reporting function around this portfolio and business, working across multiple & diverse stakeholders for alignment and collaboration. Sense of ownership and analytical thinking will be critical for this role, along with the ability to work across various teams in order to ensure gathering of the right data and input, as well as, business direction. Thorough and clear results will be critical in driving the successful growth of our Long Duration A&H business and ultimately AIG Korea.

About the role:

  • Responsible for profitability analysis through Long Duration A&H MBR (Monthly Business Review) report such as risk loss ratio, persistency ratio and Claims in detail
  • Manage and own for analysis on indicators related to Long Duration A&H business to review PnL of Line of Business and each product, coverage level.
  • Manage reporting function within Personal Insurance especially Long Duration A&H business to ensure directional alignment within and across key stakeholders in country and Regional / Global – ensure quality delivery of core reporting materials including MBR, QBR, etc.
  • Develop insight report to review production & claim trend of long-term products by channel to support specific early warning signature on product, coverage level to control risk loss ratio.
  • Provide support in ensuring product lines, channels, and back-office operations are aligned to key strategies of internal indicator’s target, and drive key initiatives across business functions related long-term business.
  • Enhancement verification function to ensure data credibility to report to Regulatory Body such as FSS, KIDI on risk loss ratio based on RAAS and basic statistics information for long-term product.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in A&H business, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Experience and working knowledge for business monitoring, reporting to review portfolio management.
  • Experience working for Claim business, aligned to product and coverage to get insight on Claim in detail for early warning
  • Demonstrated ability and collaborative skills to related business function as a Portfolio Analytics within a cross-functional organization.
  • Highly developed analytical, communication and presentation skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaborate with functional business across the organization including IT.
  • High degree of professional confidence and credibility with effective presence, strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate with business co-workers
  • Mature and proven track record in working independently and collaboratively with minimal guidance.
  • Strategic thinking, collaborative working, opens to new idea learning, purpose in monitoring process, and focused on corrective action plan for solutions and problem solving.
