About IWI
International Women’s Initiative (IWI) is an organization which raises awareness of the threats to the human rights of women across the globe and to promote and assist in the achievement of gender equality. The mission of IWI is to help women and girls realize their basic human rights, while working to ensure that all females are free and safe to pursue their full potential. As an organization which is run 100% by volunteers, we are looking for staff who can help IWI grow while ensuring we remain true to our mission and goals. PERFORMED REMOTELY
Principal Responsibilities
• Work well in a team environment, and provide guidance;
• Be able to multitask projects while also meeting project deadlines;
• Handle multiple projects;
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner;
• Follow instructions and details from producers;
• Set up and test sound equipment before events, broadcasts or recordings;
• Record, edit and mix audio (music, vocals etc.);
• Enhance sound quality and add sound effects to recordings;
• Work with video editor to synchronize video with audio tracks;
• Create and maintain sound libraries;
• Resolve technical issues when they arise.
Requirements
• Previous proven podcast sound editing experience;
• Proficiency in English;
• Strong organisational and planning skills;
• Proven experience as sound engineer;
• Working knowledge of recording software and hardware;
. Creativity and attention to detail;
• Problem-solving abilities;
• Excellent hearing and manual dexterity:
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, and the ability to work remotely and independently as part of a team;
• Desire to work in a women’s human rights environment;
• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity;
• Creative mind and storytelling skills.
