The Global Humanitarian Team (GHT) is looking for a Partnership And Local Humanitarian Leadership-Humanitarian Support Personnel who will be able to provide strategic guidance and practical support to Oxfam’s partnerships and LHL work-at country, regional and global levels. The role aims to, together with Oxfam teams and partners, contribute to improved quality of humanitarian programming (including the impact of partnerships) and increased Strength, Voice and Space of local actors in leading humanitarian action.
The role and work will be critical in supporting Oxfam teams across the organization to change our ways of working for humanitarian responses to be more partnership-centric and locally led, and contribute to strengthening local leadership of humanitarian crisis management. You will work with Oxfam country teams and partner networks to strengthen Oxfam’s partnering practices and humanitarian partnerships, trial new partnering and locally led response models, and contribute to appropriate and effective humanitarian response.

Location
HSPs are globally roving and work away from their home base continuously to a particular location, from a few weeks up to six months’ duration per assignment. HSPs are typically deployed to country programmes up to nine months a year (pro rata for part time posts). When not deployed (or on annual leave) HSPs may be assigned project / proactive work, the location in which the HSP undertakes this work will be determined by legal and cost implications.
