Job Summary
The Oracle EPM System Analyst II is a technical and functional-oriented, experienced professional accountable for delivering business improvements for Catholic Relief Services’ Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud (ePBCS) system. This role includes partnering with functional leaders to build and implement roadmaps that optimize the value, use, design, development, configuration, testing, deployment, and support of ePBCS modules, and wi th alignment of the technology to enable CRS’ financial planning and analysis (FP&A) functional processes. The position achieves objectives by guaranteeing the suitability and use of EPM solutions, and influencing functional owners, vendors and stakeholders to achieve agency outcomes.
Roles and Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable to ensure ePBCS meets CRS’ FP&A objectives, including support, maintenance, optimization, and enhancement.

    Understand the strategic objectives, functional capabilities, operating models, issues, and technology needs of FP&A functional area.

    Evaluate systems, talent, and business operating models to improve efficiency and mitigate against discrepancies or vulnerabilities.

    Maintain and nurture relationships to manage demand, identify requirements, and support the delivery of solutions.

    Partner with the functional stakeholders to gather business requirements and drive technology alignment.

    Review, analyze, and prioritize user requests or other information to define requirements, confer with users to validate or clarify needs, develop required documentation, and design and test appropriate solutions.

    Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and support solutions for business automation on Oracle applications and functionality.

    Configure and optimize ePBCS modules with a specific focus on Workforce, Capital Planning, Project Planning, and Financials Module (Multi – Year Planning).

    Design, build, maintain, and optimize Essbase Outlines, Calculation Scripts, Business Rules, Dimension Builds, Data Loads and Batch Automation Scripts.

    Responsible for managing and monitoring the Oracle load process (ad hoc requests and nightly scheduled loads), data validation, and addressing load issues.

    Oversee master data management and governance for FP&A practice.

    Proactively review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and provide recommendations to enhance the user experience.

    Accountable for application compliance with policies, procedures, and change control process.

    Provide leadership in the support for the design, development, testing, and main tenance of reports and dashboards utilizing ad-hoc queries, Smart View, Financial Reporting reports requested by users, and other tools as required.

    Lead the building of user documentation, end user training, service Desk knowledge, data interface design, data migration and reconciliation.

    Manage vendors for configuration, administration, and optimization of business systems.

    Other duties and responsibilities related to support, as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in IT or Finance with IT experience.
  • Minimum 10 years overall experience with organizations greater than 1000 employees and with complex enterprise integrated systems.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of Cloud based ERP systems.
  • Minimum 5 years’ Practical configuration experience with the Oracle EPM Cloud Applications, including Essbase.
  • Minimum 5 years of software integration and configuration experience, preferably with ERP systems.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing and scaling complex SaaS or Web Services.
  • Minimum 3 years experience training clients and front-line technicians.
  • Minimum 3 years experience leading service or product teams.
  • Expert level understanding of Oracle ePBCS Workforce, Capital Planning, Project Planning, and Financials Modules.
  • Expert understanding of multi-dimensional database management technologies.
  • Expert understanding of object-oriented design, modeling tools and technologies.
  • Advanced experience with core functional process, including but not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management (Bank reconciliations), Projects & Grants, Budgeting, Forecasting and planning.
  • Advanced ability to develop and maintain application designs using industry standard system modeling processes and tools.
  • Demonstrated proficiency (by testing or certification) in CRS application technologies.
  • Ability to learn new evolving technologies quickly and to understand potential business use cases.
