The Opportunity

This is an exciting time at NetHope as the organization implements multiple high-impact programs and develops programs and services in collaboration with its Members and technology partners to find solutions to collective problems. Working with subject experts, partners, and NetHope Members, the NDLI Coordinator will help NetHope establish and grow the NetHope Digital Leadership Institute (NDLI), a training program for nonprofit executives and senior leaders to increase their digital skills, and their applicable uses in the humanitarian sector. NetHope is creating the NDLI for its Members and other nonprofit executives.

NDLI Coordinator

NetHope is seeking engaging, experienced, organized, and enthusiastic professional to manage, develop, and coordinate all trainings for the NDLI. The NDLI Coordinator will understand how the NDLI learning process works and will be prepared to collaborate with a wide range of professionals. They will provide a coordination layer and a great customer experience to internal and external stakeholders.

The NDLI Coordinator must be adept at working in a team environment, building and bridging communications in a virtual environment, and maintaining processes and workflows. They will support activities of NDLI to ensure that trainings are efficiently completed, and at a high standard of quality. They will be skilled at organization and have a strong eye for detail. This role will report to the Senior Director of Field & Impact Programs.

Responsibilities may include:

NDLI Coordination Activities

  • Provide overall support for the effective implementation of NDLI trainings and activities.
  • Collaborate with NetHope subject experts, partners, and other professionals from Member organizations to develop quality curricula and learning resources.
  • Establish feasible timeframes to achieve the goals and objectives outlines in the curriculum.
  • Coordinate the timelines/expectations of the facilitator and curriculum designer with regards to training content and scheduling.
  • Coordinate and communicate with training cohorts, including arranging meetings, identifying participants, preparing and sending invitations, assisting with language translation/interpretation, and other logistics.
  • Assist the team in preparing activity reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and financial reports
  • Maintain high levels of data quality regarding NDLI program participants, contacts, and Member benefits, particularly in CRM, event management, learning platform, M&E, and other systems
  • Work with the communications team to write and commission blogs, social media, and other creative assets for the project to and from relevant stakeholders, that encourage and enthuse participants and drive the department’s goals.
  • Facilitate NetHope digital training workshops if needed.
  • Engage with other Coordinators to ensure the flow of information, open communication, teamwork, and efficiencies across the entire organization team
  • Support the team on additional assigned projects/tasks

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrated success in project management, good record keeping skills, and highly organized
  • Demonstrated ease of working across functional areas and with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Familiarity with elements of collaborative pedagogy
  • Multilingual verbal and written communication skills a plus

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years project coordination or equivalent experience in a global nonprofit environment
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Prior experience working on programs or projects funded by institutional donors, such as USAID, DFID/FCDO, SIDA, UN agencies, and others a plus
  • Experience in managing and delivering online trainings with multiple cohorts.
  • NetHope Member experience highly valued, other NGO experience a plus
  • Experience using project tracking and ticketing software to manage projects and deliverables
  • NetHope uses a variety of technology to facilitate our work. You can expect to use Salesforce, Asana, Slack, Miro, Zoom and Microsoft Office extensively. We will provide orientation to these and others, but a high level of literacy in similar tools is a plus.

Reporting and Working Conditions:

  • This position has an expected workload of 20 hours per week (with the possibility of expanding to include additional hours) reporting to the Senior Director, Field & Impact Programs, and working closely with the NDLI project team.
  • NetHope is a virtual organization, so our team, our Members, and our Partners are located around the world. Due to the global nature of the organization, meetings may thus be required at any time of the day to meet with our stakeholders in varying time zones. To meet these needs, NetHope embraces flexible schedules for team members, and we work with each other to be located globally, but still maintain a reasonable work time balance.
