Has the following responsibilities and duties:

  • Provide antenatal care to pregnant women, including health education and counseling, regular check-ups, and screening for medical conditions.
  • Provide postnatal care to new mothers and their newborns, including breastfeeding support, screening for medical conditions, and monitoring newborn growth and development.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all maternal and newborn care provided.
  • Provide health education and counseling to women and their families on topics related to maternal and newborn health, contraception, and family planning.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care to women and their families.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of evidence-based guidelines and protocols.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in providing maternal and newborn care services.
  • Knowledge of best practices in maternal and newborn care, including antenatal care, delivery, and postnatal care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
