Purpose of the Job

As senior media/IT officer You will be responsible for creating and developing different types of content aligned with Amal’s Brand and guidelines, following up on the implementation of the social media strategy, and supporting the team with the daily tasks.

Generally, involves managing and storing data using computers, software, databases, networks, and servers. As an IT professional, you may maintain networks, analyze systems, and provide technical support.

Main responsibilities:

Media :

• Create, Develop and Design high-quality designs & content for websites and social media (e.g. graphics, quote cards, infographics) duo to Amal’s style guides.
• Develop communication material and support internal and external outreach efforts.
• Help raise the overall standards of Amal’s visibility and guidelines.
• Improve and edit artwork, photos, visibility videos, posters, leaflets, brochures, charts, and other graphic elements.
• Layout internal & external Amal’s reports, information sheets, presentations, and other publication materials.
• Lead the Implementation of social media strategy and highlight the organization’s impact.
• Manage the content of social media platforms to serve the objectives, strategies, and activities of the organization and work to increase the organization’s access to media channels.
• Writing and developing verses kind of content (articles, social media posts, other types of content)
• Follow up the daily tasks and give the required support to field staff and volunteers and provide emerging updates, needs, and supervision of the department activities, etc.

Information Technology:

• Inspect operating systems and rectify any malfunctions in computers, printers, and other devices.
• Monitor and execute the development and programming of diverse systems and update the organization’s services using electronic systems.
• Offer guidance on the most appropriate IT solutions.
• Provide technical assistance or training on the organization’s available systems and networks.
• Analyze and solve operational issues of used systems, create fundamental solutions to prevent their recurrence, present them to senior management, and supervise their execution.
• Monitor the efficiency of computer operations, information networks, and printing devices, ensuring their suitability for all needs.
• Perform troubleshooting and data recovery tasks.
• Updating Amal’s website information
• Maintain licenses, validate them, and ensure their renewal.
• The job holder may be required to undertake other duties that are generally compatible with the primary responsibilities listed above.

About the applicant

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

Essential

• Institution degree in Public Relations, Journalism, or any related field in media. And Degree in Computer Science, engineering or relevant field.
• Two years of experience at least using Adobe programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), experience in creating content and managing social media channels
• Two years at least of professional experience in the humanitarian field.
• Advance knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications
• have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.
• Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
• Dealing and Managing cloud storage software.
• Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position
• Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills
• In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
• Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
• Degree in Computer Science, engineering or relevant field
• Strong command of English and Arabic spoken and written.( Turkish language is preferred)
• Turkish nationality is preferred
