Applicants are sought for a permanent full time W8 Police Decision Maker within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) based in County Hall, Trowbridge from April 2022 (date to be confirmed).

The post currently carries 37 variable hours a week between 0800-1800 and one weekend in eight. Currently that would be starting at either 8am. 8.30am. 9am. or 10am depending upon the roles within the rota

MASH Decision Makers have been assessed as ‘Agile’ workers with an expectation they will be working from home but can be required to work in the hub. This would normally be one week in eight though on occasions may be more frequent

This is an opportunity to be part of a multi-agency team working to share information in a timely manner, respond quickly to safeguarding concerns to protect children from significant harm and to represent the force at multi-agency meetings. Applicants will need to be highly motivated and must be able to demonstrate personal responsibility to deliver high standards of professional practice with an essential knowledge of child protection procedures and proven previous criminal investigation. The successful applicants will be line managed within the Public Protection Department reporting structure.
