Our Maitnenance Electrician starts at $24.62 /HR. Employees receive premium pay for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday and receive shift differential pay for evening shifts. Responsibilities
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with Novelis EHS standards, policies, and procedures and all state/federal regulations
- Participates in the fabrication, installation, modification, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of a variety of electrical and mechanical devices, systems, and facilities of varying design or complexity, including:
- Single & 3 Phase Power Distributions
- Conduit and Plant Lighting
- Single & Polyphase AC and DC Motors
- PLCs
- Interprets blueprints, manufacturers’ specifications, written and verbal instructions
- Performs required preventative/predictive maintenance
- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment to minimize unscheduled downtime
- Supports and participates in continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintains accurate, legible and timely records by completing paperwork as required
- Displays initiative and completes tasks with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrates a positive attitude; has the ability to work in a team environment
- Maintains quality service/product by establishing, following, and enforcing organization ISO9001:2015 quality system standards
- Provides support as required by performing other duties as requested or assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years industrial electrical experience; ability to pass an electrical test
- Aptitude with industrial machinery & equipment, including troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- Frequently lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen
- Understanding of NFPA 70E and NEC
- Ability to work as scheduled (including overtime, weekends and holidays) to support our 24/7 operations
- Previous metal rolling mill experience strongly preferred

Novelis’ Uhrichsville facility is located in Tuscarawas County, about 30 minutes from Canton, home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Our 370 employees recycle aluminum and produce coils to service the truck trailer industry and the building and construction industry.
