Duties

Summary

The Equipment Manager provides functional management and leadership for the accounting and safeguarding of all NASA equipment accountable to Kennedy Space Center. The incumbent is responsible for implementation of an effective equipment management program. This position has signature authority to commit the government to loan agreements, transfers of equipment between Agencies, Commercial partners, and other NASA Centers, as delegated by the Center Director.

Requirements

You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above. GS-12: To qualify at the GS-12 level, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level: Developing, implementing, and monitoring personal property inventory for multiple customers using electronic systems for a large complex organization; Executing property inventory and auditing processes; Executing property transfer processes and forms between different contracts/companies. GS-13: To qualify at the GS-13 level, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level: Managing the development and implementation of a personal property inventory process for multiple customers using electronic systems for a large complex organization; Managing property inventory and auditing processes; Establishing and implementing new processes and process improvements for managing organization equipment/property.
