A Drop in the Ocean

We are currently seeking Logistics Coordinator to our operations in Krakow, Poland. A Drop in the Ocean (DiH) runs various projects in Krakow, including NFI distribution and English clases. To be successful in this role, you need to have previous experience within logistic and due to rapid changes, we`ll need somebody who is flexible. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for A Drop in the Ocean´s overall logistics at the location, including sourcing and distribution activities.

Start date: As soon as possible!

Duration of Contract: 3 months, possibility of extension.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Overall responsibility for supply chain and warehouse
  • Keeping an overview of needs for supply, and make sure we at all times have what is needed at the location.
  • Supply the Freeshops with necessary stock from the wearhouse.
  • Call for necessary donations and finding suppliers
  • Receive donations (unpacking, sorting, labeling, packing)
  • Meeting and training of field workers
  • Maintenance of security and cleanliness where our supplies are kept
  • Sorting of clothes, fabric and other items for distribution

Your profile:

  • Experience within logistics such as supply chain management as well as warehouse management
  • Valid international driver’s license is mandatory
  • Experience in or knowledge of donation procurement
  • Good knowledge of database/spreadsheet management and maintenance
  • Service minded, good communication skills and experience with problem solving
  • Fluent in English and/or other context relevant languages (e.g., Polish, Ukrainian, Russian) are an advantage
  • Project management and team leading skills
  • Neccessary traveldocuments to enter Poland for starting the job as soon as possible.
  • Experience from humanitarian work is preferably
