Role and responsibilities

1. Supporting in the implementation of agriculture and livelihoods activities as requested by LM.
2. Establish a strong working relationship with targeted communities, including local leaders, and identification of local focal points
3. Implement beneficiary targeting and verification process for various activity streams
4. Implement/support beneficiary registrations
5. Support partners/contractors/trainers to implement agriculture and business-focused training programmes
6. Conducting cash or in-kind distribution for agricultural and livelihoods support.
7. Implement NRC Community Engagement Approach
8. Conduct Focus Group Discussions, household surveys, and Key Informant Interviews, with assistants and enumerators
9. Work directly with enumerators and community focal points
10. Support with referrals to other NRC sectors or through external referral mechanisms
11. Reporting and providing the LM with regular progress and updates. 
12. Other relevant tasks are requested by the line manager.

Competencies

• One (1) year experience as an assistant in a humanitarian/development programme
• Experience in using MS Excel, MS Office, and MS PowerPoint is essential
• Previous experience working in complex and volatile contexts
• Experience conducting beneficiary identification, verification and registration
• Experience supporting referrals and/or identifying service providers
• Experience conducting focus groups, questionnaires, and surveys
• Fluent Arabic and Kurdish is required
• Some knowledge of English (basic proficiency)

• Contract Duration: 6 months ( with the possibility of extension)
• Duty Station: Nineveh- Iraq

• Salary: G4/S1, According to NRC’s Iraq salary scale and terms and conditions.
