Chemonics seeks an experienced legal professional to support the strengthening of a post-conflict national judicial system. The objectives of the activity are to prepare justice sector actors and institutions for a post-conflict legal system incorporating best international rule of law practices while protecting human rights and promoting increased access to justice for all citizens. The position will be based in Southeast Asia with regional travel as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Asist in gathering and analyzing bills, laws, bylaws, orders, and directives of respective counterparts
- Support the verification and assessment of data collected from counterparts
- Cross-check the terminologies and usages of translated bills, laws, rules/regulations, orders, and directives, working with an interpreter as needed
- Provide technical assistance and administrative support for meetings, trainings, and workshops with counterparts
Qualifications:
- Law degree such as a J.D. or its equivalent from an accredited academic institution
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a common law jurisdiction
- Litigation experience as a prosecutor, judge or lawyer is preferred
- Experience living and working on transitional justice matters in an international setting is preferred
- Excellent analytical abilities, written and oral communications skills
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Fluency in English
