Description This is a unique opportunity for a lead Azure Cloud developer to be a part of a cutting-edge project in the dynamic banking sector.
The project encompasses a series of innovative and collaborative projects in Switzerland, providing the opportunity to work in a diverse and cross-functional team. You will be responsible for transforming the current on-prem deployments to an Azure Cloud-hosted solution using AKS and Azure Web App Service, ensuring scalability and efficiency for managing loan contracts. With a distinctive team structure known as “Pods,” you will lead a self-sufficient entity, integrating cross-skilled individuals to ensure comprehensive coverage of all aspects of loan contract management, facilitating innovation and creativity. Using agile practices, specifically scrum, the approach fosters flexibility and adaptability, contributing to a continuous improvement mindset crucial in the dynamic field of finance.
This opportunity provides you with the chance to work on a project characterized by its collaborative structure, innovative approach, and agile methodology, contributing to the efficient and effective management of loan contracts.
Responsibilities
- Drive the implementation of the solution using Java 11/17 and Ansible
- Help a Java team to refactor and adapt code in order for it to be cloud native ready, 12 factor compliant and Azure deployable
- Actively contribute with technical suggestions, inputs
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Join daily scrum activities and planning sessions
- Augment and then hand over knowledge and help the team to become self-sufficient over the long term
Requirements
- 7+ years professional experience, out of which 2+ years with Azure Cloud
- Excellent understanding of infrastructure design and implementation, keeping in mind ease of deployment and maintainability, cloud costs
- Experience with Azure Cloud, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Web Apps
- Some experience with Java programming as the applications and current infrastructure use Java 11/17, Spring Boot 2.7+, Ansible, Hashicorp Valut, Maven, Gitlab, PostgreSQL
- Nice to have skills are: Java, Ansible, Hashicorp Vault etc. (as the applications and current infrastructure use these technologies)
- Fluent English language knowledge
- German language knowledge is a plus
