Kemper’s spring intern program will enable you to broaden your understanding of the business, make valuable connections, and set a course for your professional journey with us. You will work on important matters that impact our clients.

What Kemper’s Spring Intern Program Provides

  • Eligibility to earn academic course credit, contingent on internship course credit offerings at enrolled institution

Spring Intern Responsibilities

  • Works with team members to research, conduct analyses, report, and communicate key product performance metrics
  • Support and report on the execution of the business process improvement program, including the coordination and participation in Best Practice creation, monthly metric analysis, ad-hoc reviews, and other audits / diagnostics as needed
  • Provide support to various business functions including (but not limited): Property & Casualty (Auto, Property, Personal, etc.), Life and/or Health Businesses
  • Must have the ability to deal with conflict in a professional manner

Intern Requirements & Qualifications

  • Currently a Junior or Senior enrolled at one of the following institutions: Cal State, Clark Atlanta University, Florida International University, Harris-Stowe State University, Miles College, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley
  • Commit to a minimum 20 working hours per week (Mon-Fri; 9am-5pm) and 2 days in the office. Work schedule examples: Tuesday | Thursday | Friday OR Monday | Wednesday | Friday
  • Qualifying majors in an academic area related to financial services or insurance, such as finance, business, data analytics, mathematics, communications, or a related field
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects
  • Self-directed and able to work with little supervision
  • Good collaborative and relationship-building skills
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
