Summary

The IT Deployment Coordinator will work on a team to implement an AMI rollout for a large publicly owned utility. They will report to the onshore Integration & Deployment Lead. The IT Deployment Coordinator will work jointly with the Onshore Build Lead, Integration & Deployment Lead, and Change Management Lead. They will assist with ensuring that internal project team resources resources and client IT resources are prepared to accept the IT solution and changes to every day operational work as a result of deployment.

Responsibilities

• Create & maintain detailed plan to complete all solution integration components needed by vendors and dependent partners for the release.
• Work closely with the Accenture Integration & Deployment Lead & the client Solution Build Lead, who engaging 3rd party providers to ensure they complete design, build and environment setup (in their respective org) to enable end-to-end test execution, and manage tasks associated with environment readiness.
• Create diagrams using Visio to demonstrate the testing landscape and integration connections (if applicable).
• Support PM related activities on behalf of the Deployment team
• Support the creation, maintainance and execution of the detailed cutover plan to complete the successful production cutover for the Release which includes all activities needed pre-, during, and post-cutover for a successful and clean release to production environment
• Support the creation & maintenance of the deployment plan incl. cross-activity dependencies, escalate risks/ issues to solution build, and maintain disciplined scope management
• Actively plan and collaborate the integration of all deploy activities for the Release, working closely with Build, Test, Integration, Tech Arch, Business Readiness & Change Management Leads and teams.
• Aid in designing the structure and set up of the virtual command center and support centers that will support the IT deployment on cutover day(s)/weekend.
• Aid the Deployment Lead in designing an release/cut-over issue escalation and awareness process.
• Escalate issues or concerns to ensure that IT and the Business are working in unison through the virtual command center.
• Foster coordinated and collaborative working environment that fosters risk mitigation to all impacted stakeholders
• Responsible for communicating go-live readiness weekly to project leadership through a deployment readiness dashboard slide.
• Help define and establish command center processes, schedule and execution and share these processes with stakeholders at a virtual Dress Rehersal table top
• Flex to support the Change Management Lead (if needed)
• Document when manual processes will be needed as result of IT defects unresolved prior to go live.
• Capture and change impacts to determine impacted groups, level of impact and disposition activities.
• Support activities for stakeholder engagement, resistance management, training and communications at the Change Management Lead’s discretion

Requirements

• 3-5 years demonstrated IT consulting experience; familiar with IT deployment and cut over procedures
• Previous involvement in a large IT system deployment
• Experience working with an application development team or been an application developer previously to have background on large, integrated testing landscapes that include third party integrations.
• Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills:
• Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details.
