This internship explores how safety engineering processes of aircraft development can be applied by using the Model Based Safety Analysis (MBSA) concept, which is based on MBSE. This methodology will be applied to the safety analysis of the CityAirbus NextGen eVTOL aircraft.

Preferred starting date: 01 April 2023

You future job, should you choose to accept it …

• Definition of a project plan and of the processes that you will use ;
• Literature research on safety analysis and MBSA ;
• Investigation of different safety modeling approaches and tools available ;
• Generation of Aircraft Functional Hazard Assessment (AFHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Preliminary Aircraft Safety Analysis (PASA) by applying MBSA on a concrete example ;
• Collaboration with other engineering actors (system designers, safety experts, project managers) along all V-Cycle Phases.

Are you THE one?

• You have a university degree in aeronautical engineering study with a focus on system engineering;
• You have knowledge of aircraft systems, systems engineering, system design, system safety;
• Skills in programming (particularly object oriented programming) are welcome;
• People around you define you as an open-minded and dynamic person;
• You know how to adapt to different situations, and you are very well organized;
• Team spirit, autonomy and good communication skills are some of your assets;
• You are fluent in English.
