Location: Global – Where IR has a Country Officer

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time

Salary: UK – £37,766 per annum / Where IR has a Country Office outside the UK – £30,213 per annum

IRW have an exciting opportunity for an International HR Partner to join our International HR Team in Birmingham or any of Islamic Relief’s offices worldwide. More information on where IR have a Country Office can be found by visiting – https://islamic-relief.org/where-we-work/

The purpose of the role is to act as an experienced HR generalist and business partner, working closely with the Head of Region and Islamic Relief country offices. The postholder will also have the opportunity to travel to Islamic Relief offices globally to support our country offices and implement HR projects.

The successful candidate must have or be:

  • CIPD level 5 qualified (or above) or equivalent, a degree in a management or social science-related field, preferably in HRM or Business Studies
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law. Experience in International employment law is advantageous.
  • Extensive experience of generalist services or business partnering in HR
  • Ability to develop HR policies and strategy
  • Proven record communicating and influencing at a senior level. This includes the ability to engage within a multicultural environment.
  • Substantial experience in managing recruitment and employee relations activities in a large organisation
  • Strong and seasoned analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and laterally, to overcome challenges.
  • Strong organisation skills and ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing stakeholder requirements
  • Ability to travel internationally at short notice
