Internship Job Title: Nutrition Packaging Engineering Internship NOTE: Internship is for Summer of 2023 You must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PHD Degree program at the time of the internship. This role is also not eligible for continued sponsorship. What is special about this team: The Nutrition Packaging Engineering team is an active and integral part of Nutrition Product Development. We support all internal packaging development needs, but we are also actively engaged in the development of sustainable packaging options. In addition we support external partners to produce packaging that meets or exceeds Nutrilite criteria for packaging. How would an intern contribute to the team’s success: This position will have a direct impact on informing our organization of alternative sources of sustainable packaging, that may meet our internal requirements, as well as delight the end-user. This position will make a recommendation of top options as well as initiate research into the impact of packaging selections on stability. An example of a typical project is: Projects are typically focused on supporting our packaging engineers in exploring new, innovative packaging solutions. An example of project opportunity is the exploration of mono materials, or alternative materials available for sustainable packaging with the ultimate goal of conducting stability studies on 1-2 products in alternative packaging formats. What skills and background will be important to be successful in this internship? Desired Skills: Proficient with Office tools including Teams. Ability to work independently with direction. Strong analytical and communication skills. Desired Prospective Degree: BS in Packaging Science or Material Science Work Type: Hybrid, with likely one trip between Ada,MI and Buena Park, CA sites.
