Automobilwoche

Large amounts of data are generated at BMW in the core processes such as vehicle development, production, sales, and aftersales. In the “AI Products & AI Platform” department, together with business departments, such as the Digitization Engineering Processes department, we gain information from this data to optimize processes, improve product quality, and develop new services. We are looking for an intern (f/m/x) on diverse topics such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Automation and “Machine Learning (ML)” that converge in a single project. This internship aims at improving an existing application of ML in Engineering from start to finish, in other words from the generation of data by engineers until returning a ML-based engineering assessment of this data.

What awaits you?

  • Analyzing real CAD and CAE automotive data
  • Computing Finite-Element Simulations in a real industrial context
  • Improving an automated workstream by programming (Bash scripting, Python, VBA)
  • Researching & implementing state-of-the start ML techniques. Benchmarking on real automotive data
