Where you come in:

In this full-time, permanent position, based in Carlton*, you will be responsible for managing all infrastructure and networks for Save the Children in Australia and the Pacific. You will be part of our Technology Leadership team and report to our CIO.

You will make an impact by:

  • Managing our cloud infrastructure (most of our infrastructure is in Azure)
  • Managing our networks across 85 retail stores and 30 offices in Australia and the Pacific
  • Managing our end user hardware and tools including laptops and peripherals, mobile phones, collaboration, productivity, Intranet, Telco, and video conferencing
  • Managing our cyber security controls, certification, and compliance
  • Leading by example, showing the teams how to create and operate modern infrastructure and networks
  • Creating and maintaining a positive, productive, and happy team culture where team members can grow, learn and coach others to make a real difference.

Does this sound like you?

You lead by example, are hands on and a collaborative problem solver. You have experienced infrastructure and networks in many different contexts and can converse with junior technical team members through to non-technical senior managers. You love solving problems and helping people.

This role requires:

  • Extensive cloud infrastructure experience (preferably Azure)
  • Extensive network management experience (WAN, LAN)
  • Significant end user support and tooling experience
  • A continuous improvement mindset and exposure to modern principles, tools and frameworks (g. CI/CD, IaC, Serverless, DevSecOps)
  • A customer centric approach and significant experience with service delivery tools and frameworks (g. Jira, ServiceNow, ITIL)
