Remuneration: 4,500-5,100 USD/month

The role

This role would initially focus on supporting solutions for the Ukrainian response team, with possible extension to productized solutions for use in other humanitarian contexts. The current project is a document retrieval system aimed at curating up-to-date information, from reliable sources, and providing it via channels and websites already popular with the affected people.

In this role, you will join the growing CLEAR Global tech team to work on projects requiring language technology such as voice or text enabled chatbots, machine translation and automatic speech recognition (ASR). As operations expand, CLEAR Global aims to enhance and maintain the systems required to sustain this growth efficiently, and continue to satisfy the additional demands on CLEAR Global’s technological capacity. The holder of this role will help build and maintain the infrastructure for AI solutions within the Ukrainian response efforts.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the infrastructure for AI solutions for various humanitarian use cases
• Work closely with the Ukrainian response team to understand their needs and develop solutions to aid in their efforts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, and project managers
• Automate and manage the deployment, scaling, and monitoring of the AI solutions
• Ensure the security and reliability of the infrastructure
• Continuously improve systems and solutions by monitoring performance and incorporating feedback
• Apply best practices of CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment)
• Develop, maintain and document system installation and configuration procedures
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Ensure the quality and scalability of the infrastructure
• Create and verify data backups

These responsibilities are approximate and may change over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of proven experience in DevOps and infrastructure management
• Strong experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS and GCP
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform
• Solid grasp of, and proven experience in, CI/CD
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix administration
• Strong understanding of security and networking concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for making a positive impact in the world
