INFORMATION OFFICER WITH A FOCUS ON SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT – CONSULTANT

SOS CVI Italy is leading two European projects STEP IN and WELL-U and one global initiative on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support. Within this framework are looking for a passionate and creative Consultant with experience in communication and dissemination to join our team.
The consultant will work closely with the project managers and project partners and will need to conduct the following:

  • Establish and maintain communications platforms to stimulate engagement of both external and internal audience Create and manage a community of practice online to disseminate the projects results and information
  • Content creation of video, infographic and print media products, including the production of projects’ newsletters on a monthly basis, to give value to the work of SOS CV Italy and its partners in the field of Mental health and psychosocial support
  • Facilitate internal communication across different organizational units to effectively disseminate projects’ products and materials
  • Conducting dissemination activities for European projects in collaboration with project partners
  • Support the organization and hosting of online events (e.g. webinars, online conferences, presentations) linked to the projects

Knowledge and experience
Essential

  • Proven experience with digital tools, such as MURAL, Flinga, Miro, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, Google Tools, Microsoft SharePoint, Yammer WhatsApp, Telegram and Outlook.
  • Proven experience with podcasting, video making and editing.
  • Proven experience in creating social media contents and graphic layouts, with tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Canva and InDesign.
  • Proven experience in strategic communication.
  • Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
  • Excellent intercultural communication skills, in presence and remotely.
  • Interest in humanitarian work and MHPSS.
  • Creative mindset and flexibility.
  • Strong propensity to work in a team.
  • Stress and problem management and autonomy skills.
  • Strong attention to details.

Desired

  • Previous volunteering/working experience in a non-governmental humanitarian organization.
