Information Management Officer

based in Amman, Jordan

War Child Programme for Syria

War Child Holland (WCH) is an international non-governmental organization that works exclusively to improve the well-being and resilience of children and youths affected by violence and armed conflict. As a learning organisation, War Child (WCH) continuously enhances its services to children affected by war and conflict. This includes striving to become a networked expert organisation, able to mobilise and provide services and technical assistance within and outside the organisation, as well as across programme teams in its various country offices.

War Child has been responding to the needs of Syrian children. The programme is expanding and is in need of professional supervision, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit to further grow the programme.

The Challenge

The purpose of the Information Management (IM) Officer position is to actively manage all data-related activities within War Child’s Syria programme. The IM Officer is part of the MEAL team and reports directly to the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Manager and collaborate with the MEAL Coordinators, to establish and maintain data management platforms that enable effective and efficient reporting and visualization. The MEAL information and reports will allow project stakeholders to view and analyse project reach across sub-districts, sex, age, type of service and residency status of beneficiaries served and other real-time progress against deliverables. It will also flag shortfalls against intended outcomes, supporting the WCH team to work with partners to adapt modalities and implementation plans as needed.
