INDUSTRIAL PLACEMENT – Logistics QSHE Coordinator(Sept start – Yeovil)

Our Industrial Placements are open to university students due to undertake a year in industry as part of their course, who wish to gain valuable work experience. Over a period of one year, you will have first-hand experience in the front line of our business operations. We’re looking for students who have a passion for logistics, and want to gain real-life experience in a fast paced and complex environment. If you’re ambitious, driven, and eager to show what you can do, this is a great way to start your career in logistics.

Your Role

This placement role will be within our QSHE+ team at one of our contract logistics sites Yeovil. QSHE+ is a vital part in ensuring the smooth & compliant running of our logistics operations and our team are involved in conducting audits and assurance to align with legislation and customer requirements. This is a great way to get a full understanding of the logistics operations and how we deliver the very best service to our customers. You will have engagement at General Management level to support with initiatives and overall QSHE+ direction for 2022. In addition, you will also be involved in understanding the training needs of the business and supporting the delivery of practical training at an operational level.

Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing QSHE+ guidance to the customer areas of responsibility
• Evaluating statistics to support safety & Quality performance
• Analysis of QSHE+ data to identify trends and system failings
• Supporting QSHE+ management and operational management to achieve annual targets

Your Skills And Experiences

• Currently studying for a degree qualification
• A passion for logistics & safety
• Hardworking and committed
• Ability to work on own initiative

• A willingness to learn
• Driving licence not essential as long as candidates can reach the site by public transport
