Job Description
Industrial Maintenance Electrician
Responsibilities
- Perform work safely utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and permits. Notify supervision of any issues, understanding the importance of product safety, quality, and legality. Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices; maintain accurate production records as required and is familiar with the principles of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Program.
- Remain familiar with the environmental procedures or work instructions and understands the potential consequences of departure from the requirement. Handles and stores used oils and lubes according to plant procedures.
- Notify management of any observed or potential compliance issues or nonconformities.
- Maintain working area and equipment clean, neat, and orderly. Responsible for cleaning up their production work areas at the end of the shift and when jobs are completed.
- Works with and assists other electricians and mechanics, and after proper training works alone or with others in doing work of a skill, depending upon degree of training and length of time on job. Uses both hand and power equipment as necessary in the performance of his work including computers (laptops, hand-held devices – tablets, smartphones, etc.), and should read blueprints, schematics, diagrams and have knowledge of shop mathematics. Has ability to follow detailed instructions and complete PM documents (paperwork and/or electronic entry) as required.
- Installation, inspection, and troubleshooting of instruments and electrical equipment, in accordance with NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, ISA and Company Standards.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of field instrumentation devices for process equipment.
- Identify, interpret and effectively use drawings and documentation related to electrical and process controls including Electrical One-line diagrams, Elementary diagrams, wiring schematics, control schematics, P&ID’s, Cause and Effect diagrams, Instrument Loop diagrams, Interconnect diagrams, etc.
- Set-up, troubleshoot and repair equipment issues including, electrical/electronic controls, PLC controlled systems using ladder logic, Robotic systems, Industrial Servo controls, and AC/DC motors.
- Follow safety procedures when performing or assisting work on AC distribution systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair motor control circuits and equipment.
- Support Plant Operations to minimize production impacts and enhance reliability.
- Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems, including electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers.
- Bend and install electrical conduit; pull wire and cable; terminate power, control, and instrumentation wire and cable.
- May perform some specifically assigned routine jobs, such as greasing, oiling, cleaning, inspection of equipment, buildings, and attachments under little or no immediate supervision or guidance.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism while working as a member of a team or when working alone.

Job Requirements
Must lift up to 50 pounds, wear a respirator (if applicable), and navigate in and out of customer offices/the plant.
