Background information:

UNICC requires an experienced cybersecurity consultant for the implementation and support of ongoing and new projects. The consultant will report to the head of Cybersecurity Architecture and IAM (CSA) or its delegate. The resource will collaborate with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure cybersecurity best practices and UNICC policies, standards, and guidelines are incorporated into the projects and solutions.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide security architecture consulting and advisory support
  • Design, implement and manage secure cloud-based solutions for UNICC and its partners
  • Provide architecture and security assessment for cloud-based infrastructure and solutions
  • Assess requirements and identify technical alignment between needs and analytical solution
  • Provide security guidance for DevOps and DevSecOps environments
  • As per the needs of the team, work with other functional teams to implement scalable and maintainable cloud-based solutions.
  • Under guidance, provide security consultancy to UNICC client organizations in various areas including security architecture, cloud deployments, network architecture, application deployment and security operations
  • Design and implementation of secure cloud architectures for public, private, and hybrid Cloud based systems within Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or similar cloud providers
  • Perform security assessment of modern and complex technologies like microservices, blockchain, cognitive services, big data technologies
  • Collaborate in processes related to end-to-end architecture, design and engineering plan, based on the requirements
  • As per the needs of the team, collaborate with other teams in the Cybersecurity and IT operations division
  • Prepare security assessment reports for executives based on business risks and requirements

Recruitment Profile

Experience and Skills required:

Essential:

  • At least five (5) years of engineering experience with cloud-based services
  • Strong understanding of application development lifecycle like DevOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD
  • Strong understanding of cloud federation and modern application integrations
  • Experience architecting Cloud solutions which span storage, security, networking, and compute capabilities
  • Knowledge and experience with attack simulation, vulnerability management and application testing
  • Strong background in Networking, Identity and access management
  • Strong knowledge of various security operational services and tools like firewalls, IPS, WAF, SIEM, Content filtering and application whitelisting
  • Good understanding of at least one of the following enterprise Identity and access management solutions, Azure Active Directory, AWS identity management solution
  • Good understanding of various cybersecurity processes like vulnerability management, patch management, incident, and problem management, etc.
  • Strong scripting knowledge and experience
  • Good understanding of latest technologies at least two from the list: cognitive services, hybrid cloud solutions, blockchain solutions, microservices, data lakes, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated background in deploying highly secure solutions
  • Experience with risk assessment methods and security assessment processes

Desirable:

  • Experience developing integrations and automation
  • Experience working with various CI/CD tools
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket
  • AWS or Azure security controls and tools

Education*:

Essential:

  • First university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IS or related

Desirable:

  • Advanced university degree with focus in information (technology)

Languages:

  • English: Expert knowledge is required

Other Information

Compensation:

Fee will be based either on the National Officer salary scales or the Individual Consultancy band levels (for Headquarters)
