Dijla Agricultural Association (DAA) is a national, non-governmental organization which envisages a caring world where people unite to respond to the suffering of others, empowering them to fulfil their potential. we promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities to eradicate poverty, illiteracy. We also respond to disasters and emergencies, helping people in crisis. We are a group of committed specialized graduates representing various intellectual backgrounds of our society. We have set up an independent non-governmental organization under the name of Dijla Agricultural Association (DAA).

Dijla is interested in development programs and are keen on the development of various sectors of local economy, husbandry and industry. Our activities and objectives include the setting up of modern and advanced model projects that will contribute positively to the local economy, tackling unemployment and to help the scientific research sector in the country.

 

Scope of Work:

Under direct supervision of the Hygiene Team Leader, the Hygiene Promotor will actively be giving awareness sessions in public areas of Qahtaniya and Center of Baa’j, schools and Parks alongside Door-to-Door Campaign reaching out to individual households through spreading messages about COVID-19.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Explaining Covid-19 risks, symptoms, and mitigation approaches.
  • Conduct awareness sessions about COVID-19 Variants, shedding the light on the benefits of vaccine, and addressing common rumors and myths about the vaccine for men, women and children.
  • Distribute brochures including adequate information about Variants of COVID-19 to beneficiaries.
  • Ongoing mentoring and on-site training of beneficiaries to ensure continuous improvement.
  • develop overall hygiene promotion strategy and objectives.
  • organizing activities and allocating plans in accordance with agreed hygiene promotion campaigns and programme activities.
  • contribute to the skills development of the targeted community through provision of trainings and field-level advice.
  • reporting to the Hygiene Team leader on the daily activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursery, Environmental Sciences, Community Development or related field. 
  • Demonstrated experience with training and capacity-building.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Arabic. 
  • Having a good knowledge of his/her geographical area or target group, in collaboration with his/her team.
  • Understanding of the situation of the region and commitment to humanitarian principles. 
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility, commitment, patience and a good sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to work well and punctually under pressure.
