Human Resources Intern

The Story Market is a global B2B marketplace connecting journalists and media outlets. Previously published stories from major publications around the globe can be licensed for another language. The Story Market offers as well the articles as the translations. Through the sale of international rights, freelancers generate additional income and newspapers save money.

As a young start-up, we recently closed our first funding round and are now looking to grow the team with a new HR Intern.

Who You Are:

• You are a self-starter able to work independently while also working as part of a team
• You are enrolled in University or have just completed your studies in the field of Marketing, Psychology, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related subjects
• You are curious and not shy to ask questions and learn
• You are a goal-getter, an ace in prioritizing and getting things done
• You think outside the box, like challenges, and don’t stick to problems but look for solutions
• You know how to use Excel, Google’s Suite, and are quick in wrapping your head around new tools like Hubspot, Notion, Typeform, and Co
• You are fluent in English, German skills are a plus, and internationally-minded – we speak English, German, Persian, Dutch, French, Tamil, Spanish 🙂
• You are interested in the future of media and journalism or have even experience in the industry (text is our “bread and butter”)

What You’ll Do:

• You will manage the whole HR process to make our team grow, this includes:
• Publish job postings within different channels
• Manage incoming applications and screening processes
• Conduct preliminary interviews with applicants within the hiring process and lead candidates through the full cycle recruitment process
• On-board and off-board team members
• Maintain our Career Page to communicate our values, ambitions, and culture to the right talent audience
• Help the management with day-to-day financial topics

We’re located in Munich but up to building a company with employees all over the world. So having your home base in Munich is not required.
