1. Purpose of the Position:

The Human Capital Management Assistant contributes to the efficient and effective human capital management at GFP, by supporting all tasks related to recruitment, preboarding, onboarding offboarding, leave records, welfare and benefits, training and development, Talent management and maintenance of personnel files and GFP storage.

2. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment process: job description preparation; vacancy advertisement; receipt, review, and shortlisting of applications; interviews, tests, selection, and job offers.
  • Assist in the administrative and HCM inductions of new staff and interns, ensuring they have all needed information, materials, and equipment.
  • Support staff in different medical insurance procedures, follow up with their medical requirements, and manage the addition of the newly hired staff.
  • Supporting staff training and development, supporting need assessments and research on possible solutions.
  • Leading on maintaining personnel physical files, storage on HCM platforms, and filing and records retention and any other tools; keeping all personnel files and Human Capital Management information records secure by completing database backups and keeping information confidential.
  • Lead on the maintaining of GFP server storage regarding HCM unit files.
  • Support on ensuring compliance with HCM policies and HCM procedures
  • Support in performance management processes and reminders
  • Ensure receiving correct supporting documents and update service provider sheet with continuous follow up when needed and submitting to supervisor in a timely manner
  • Support the admin type of work for the HCM unit
  • Any other related tasks and responsibilities that may be required.

5. Education, Qualifications, Competences, Skills Required:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration.
  • At least two years professional experience in Human Capital Management
  • Strong knowledge of Human Capital Management international best practices and Jordanian Labor laws.
  • Excellent spoken and written English, and in particular top quality written English communications.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to coordinate Human Capital Management processes across different departments.
  • Excellent computer skills (documents/spreadsheets/databases/presentations/multi-media/calendars/email).
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of different interpretations of communications approaches in different global, regional, and local contexts.
  • Interest in global current affairs, conflict resolution and peace building, and international development.
  • Proven ability to fit into a young, diverse, dynamic team as a team player, leader, mentor, and capacity-builder.

Preferred:

  • Experience in an international peace-building organization.
  • Previous INGO experience is preferred.
  • Additional HR education and professional certifications will be a plus: PHRI, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
