Job Description
- Work as part of the Senior Management Team to deliver the site HR strategy, in line with business goals and objectives
- Contribute to change management to support the overall business transition programme
- Deliver the internal communications programme to positively impact employee engagement
- Lead on HR improvement initiatives
- Develop the HR Agenda to align with the overall business strategy
- Management responsibilities for a small payroll team and oversee monthly payroll activities
- Develop the site Talent and Recruitment strategy, including the management and delivery of all resourcing activities
- Implement and continuously improve the employee onboarding experience
- Liaise with external Recruitment Agencies, including the negotiation of terms and conditions and PSL agreements, in relation to temporary and permanent staffing requirements
- Coordinate competency-based assessments for all employees
- Design succession plans to support business continuity, employee development and safeguard key roles within the business
- Develop and deliver best practice programmes, policies, and procedures regarding key HR metrics
- Develop, analyse, and interpret key analytics to support business decisions
- Ensure HR systems are in place and fit for purpose in supporting daily HR activities
- Implement the apprenticeship framework in designated business areas
- Deliver workshop-based training in various HR-related subject matters
- Coach leaders on succession planning and provide support on talent management and leadership development programmes within the business
- Manage the apprenticeship levy
- Provide advice to line managers, senior leaders, and colleagues on company processes and employment law
- Manage complex employment relations cases
- Manage the relationship with trade unions
- Lead on all people-related projects
- Develop initiatives to support a positive employee engagement experience
- Develop reward and remuneration strategies to ensure that all employees are rewarded for their hard work and key talent is attracted into the business
- Actively promote a culture of diversity and inclusion through strategic decisions and HR policy
- Support the Directors in the implementation of an effective company health, safety, and environmental policy
The Successful Applicant
- Solid year’s experience working in a HR Business Partner or HR Generalist capacity working in a dynamic and cross-cultural environment within a global organisation
- Educated to degree-standard (preferred)
- Technically capable on key HR disciplines with a strong grasp of employment law and able to support colleagues in all HR related matters
- Commercial acumen; understands the business, able to find and propose sound solutions, and influence outcomes
- Proven ability to effectively plan and prioritise multiple tasks according to business needs
- Ability to operate and make sound business decisions with some level of ambiguity and with little or no supervision
- Ability to work on own initiative within parameters of the role and proactively escalate any issues to line manager
- Proactive nature, high attention to detail, ability to solve problems fast and well. A flexible and positive approach to work
- Comfortable with and able to manage high volumes of transnational work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
