  • Description:* Reporting to the HR Officer, the HR business partner will be overseeing Canada offices (100 employees) and supporting in a full range of HR responsibilities across functional areas. The HRBP will be in charge of implementing and administrating HR programs with acquisitions, along with onboarding, payroll, performance management, learning & development. They will also be ensuring policies and procedures are held to a standard and streamlined across the company. The best employee comes with a generalist foundation and acts as a business partner for the organization, using their past knowledge to make decisions on business strategy and align it with regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with assigned client groups through site visits and consistently delivering results.

Be the key HR contact and trusted advisor for managers and employees.

  • Work with local management to identify, define and implement HR plans and solutions that address the needs of the business and the overall company.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of business needs and trends to help drive the business forward.
  • Consult with leaders to help them navigate through employee issues so they understand the different risks and benefits of different scenarios to make the best decision possible for the organization.
  • Maintain a current working knowledge of labor laws and ensure compliance in all assigned locations.
  • Coordinate with corporate HR and Accounting on resolving employee issues regarding benefits, pay, and leaves.
  • Company representative in Union locations.

Work with union on wage changes, questions, hires and terms.

  • Manage off boarding process-term notices, status notices to employees, final pay notices and exit interviews
  • Responsible for Benefits administration for nonunion employees which may include medical, dental, vision, life and disability programs.
  • Develop and execute fully comprehensive sourcing plans analyzing requirements to determine target profile needs and matches.
  • Responsible for integrating Canadian acquisition targets.
  • Champion corporate HR initiatives as assigned.
  • Other HR projects as assigned. *Requirements:*
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 8 years experience in Human Resources (minimum 3 years in generalist position)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience working with stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills (proven successful project work)
  • Ability to travel around Canada (more details to come)
  • Additional Skills:*
  • Experience evaluating and analyzing acquisitions
  • Field service experience
  • Experience in manufacturing Industry
  • Knowledge of Paylocity software
