THE ROLE

The school is seeking to appoint an HR Administrator to work closely with the HR Manager to provide a comprehensive HR service to all staff at Uxbridge High School. It is a fast-paced and busy environment within the HR team, where you will learn something new every day. If you are resilient, have a flexible and adaptable manner, plus plenty of initiative, then this is a fantastic opportunity to join our dedicated team.

Key duties include: assisting with daily HR administration: requesting references, carrying out DBS checks; organising and administrating cover arrangements for absent colleagues as and when required; ensuring accurate record keeping and administration, assisting in maintaining the Single Central Record for the school.

You will be educated to at least A Level standard and have experience of office administration processes and procedures, along with high levels of accuracy and excellent attention to detail. You should have experience of working in a similar fast paced office environment and ability to manage your own time and prioritise day to day workloads.

We expect you to have an excellent command of written and spoken English as well as a high level of ICT skills. Above all, you will have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels in the school whilst demonstrating a flexible approach and maintaining the confidentiality and sensitivity of information.

We would welcome applications from exceptional people who can make an integral contribution to Uxbridge High School. In return we offer a friendly, modern working environment; free membership to the Benenden Healthcare Scheme; a favourable pension scheme; financial support for higher and further education; a cycle to work scheme and interest free travel loans. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the DBS.
