Support Worker – Homeless

LOCATION: Oxford

SALARY: £10.59 – £11.36 PAYE Inclusive of Holiday

DURATION: Temp – Rolling contract

HOURS: Up to 37.5 per week (Mon- Fri 9-5)

Daily Duties

• Work with Homeless clients to ensure suitable and timely move on from the project
• Create a peer led substance misuse support model within the project.
• Develop an effective partnership model with relevant agencies.
• Work in partnership with Turning Point in the delivery of drug and alcohol-based support to enable clients to work towards drug and alcohol recovery.
• Assess risk and suitability of referrals for the service.
• Responsible for supporting and working with clients to achieve suitable move on and successful outcomes.
• Support clients in their stay; to manage their accommodation, work towards make positive changes in their lives
• Create support plans and risk management plans
• Adhere to financial processes including collection of charges and arrears recovery according to the organisations policies and procedures.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, relatives, carers, professionals, commissioners, contractors and the local community.
• Be aware of relevant legislation changes for housing support and care.
• Participate in the duty on call rota

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working with high risk, vulnerable service users
• Knowledge of Resettlement and securing alternative accommodation
• DBS within the last 12 months
