Overview Of Role

We are looking for an experienced & self-motivated Arable Operator to join our team, working in a unique farm environment where you will be working within the farm team to complete a variety of tasks on both our commercial and field trial areas.

This role would suit both an experienced operator looking for the next step in their career or equally could be a great opportunity for enthusiastic individual with a positive track record, but less experience in the industry,

The role includes drilling, cultivations, harvest, fertiliser and sprayer applications, all involving the use of top quality, modern high output equipment. Some machinery maintenance and workshop skills alongside the interaction with the livestock enterprise is also required. The opportunity to progress and evolve the position, gain knowledge and undertake further training will be available to the ideal candidate.

This role will suit a forward thinking individual able to work to a high standard both alone and as part of a committed team. They will be expected to work to seasonal work patterns and assist with all elements of the farming system.

Training will be given but the successful candidate would ideally have

  • PA1+2 certification
  • Experience of Self-propelled sprayer operation
  • Experience in Combine Operations
  • Experience in GPS equipment
  • Telehandler ticket
  • A full UK driving license
  • Good paperwork and organisation skills
  • A polite and enthusiastic attitude

The vacancy will initially be for 3 year fixed period and will close on 28th March 2022, with interview to follow shortly after.
