HIGH VALUE LEGACIES MANAGER

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum + benefits

Contract length: Permanent

Location: Stratford w/ high-flex

Why we need you

We have an exciting opportunity for passionate individuals to join us as a High Value Legacies Manager. We need you to support on the management and development of our high-value legacy pipeline strategy. In this, you’ll work closely with key teams across the directorate including Philanthropy to plan, develop and implement improvements to acquisition, cultivation and stewardship strategies to meet KPIs and objectives.

What will I be doing?

Make an impact every day by…

  • Leading on the strategy and vision for high value legacy giving and acting as product expert in planned legacy giving across the organisation and with high net-worth supporters
  • Working in collaboration with Philanthropy teams and other internal teams to deliver high value activity and manage delivery through matrix management of specific projects
  • Working with key stakeholders, developing and overseeing the delivery of sector-leading supporter propositions to feed the high value legacy pipeline specifically focussing on high net-worth individuals
  • Managing a small portfolio of existing high value pledgers and professional intermediaries and leading on tribute and recognition activities
  • Working collaboratively with the Philanthropy team, developing engaging blended giving propositions and oversee the stewardship of high value pledgers to ensure a consistent and supporter-centric experience
  • Acting as the high value legacy product expert across CRUK, securing organisational buy-in to the vision and strategy.

What skills are you looking for?

You’ll be able to bring to the role…

  • A track record of fundraising from high net-worth individuals or charitable trusts in the not-for-profit sector, or similar transferable experience gained in the charity or commercial sector
  • Exceptional listening skills and efficient written and oral communication skills; an inspiring and engaging communication style
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills, with the ability to quickly get buy in and work collaboratively
  • Knowledge of the ethical and legal considerations around legacy giving
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to overcome issues, propose solutions and make sound commercial decisions
  • Ability to identify new opportunities and continuous improvement of the high value planned giving market
  • Excellent relationship building skills, creating connections to make great things happen.
