HEALTH SPECIALIST

What is a Health Specialist?

A key player in the organization the Health Specialist is responsible for integrating and attracting new members into personal training services. This includes but not limited to one on one, Partner training and Team Training.

What will you be doing?

  • Achieve assigned monthly goals in the following areas: personal training revenue, team training, booking, show and closing percentages – monthly revenue goals.
  • Maintain a positive and strong relationship with the membership sales department to ensure personal health profile appointments are scheduled for each new member, in a timely manner
  • Prospect for clients by promoting: incentives, personal training services and current marketing promotions
  • Generate Personal Training leads using multiple avenues including but not limited to: club walk arounds, community relations events, in club events, referrals and outbound calls
  • Utilize sales tools provided, including but not limited to: call box, binder, consultation forms, ballot boxes, business cards, price presentation sheets and testimonials
  • Complete a consultation on every prospect to company standard
  • Complete the Specialty Services Consultation to company standards
  • Follow the Health Specialist schedule as provided by Fitness Manager
  • Ensure all members are properly oriented into the club through orientations and group exercise classes regardless of whether or not they purchase personal training
  • Follow and adhere to the entire GoodLife sales process
  • Attend all required meetings and calls
  • Enter daily statistics, all administrative information and hours worked into the CARE
  • Handle customer inquiries in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner
  • Consistently update health and fitness knowledge through workshops, certifications and seminars
  • Ensure GLPTI is current
  • Follow-up on overdue accounts

Do you have what it takes?

  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Management or Kinesiology is an asset
  • GLPTI Certification
  • CPR/AED Certification
  • Experience and passionate about sales
  • Energetic, enthusiastic with consistent peak attitude
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Proactive, flexible and adaptable
  • Exemplary customer satisfaction skills
  • Participate in a regular exercise regime
  • Knowledgeable in all GoodLife programs and services
  • Proven sales track record
  • Minimum 6-12 months working with sales targets
  • Previous work experience in the health or fitness industry
  • Must be committed to contributing to a culture that celebrates diversity, equity and inclusion and embraces social and environmental responsibility
