Starting salary for this position is £54,588 per annum (plus contributory pension, if based in UK)

About the role:

Reporting to the Programme Quality Director, the Head of Programmes Performance & Learning will lead the Performance and Learning Unit within the Programme Quality Team. The role will focus on ensuring the quality of programme delivery, monitoring and evaluating its impact, and driving learning and improvement across the organization.

Communication skills are integral to the success of this role. The role holder will be engaging with external stakeholders, including donors, partners, and government officials, to advocate for MAG’s work. They will be providing leadership and direction to their team, building the capacity of MAG’s staff in performance management and learning, through training, mentoring, and the development of resources and tools.

About you:

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in performance management and learning in a similar organization, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector. The successful candidate will have experience in developing and implementing monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) systems as well as knowledge of key cross-cutting areas such as gender, partnership development, conflict sensitivity, environment and others. Analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and use this to drive improvements is key to this role. Fluency in English is a requirement.
