EVP APC > Service Commercial APAC > Service Sales Offshore APAC

Service Commercial APAC is overall responsible for promoting the continuous and profitable growth in the Service business across Asia Pacific and China (APAC) by selling service solutions for any Renewable Energy assets on- and off-shore from long-term operations & maintenance agreements to transactional sales of Parts & Repair solutions as well as upgrades & performance improvements.

As the Head of Service Sales Offshore, APAC you will be accountable for delivering on / above the financial sales targets (order intake, revenue & contribution margin) set for the Service Offshore business across APAC. In addition to that, you are expected to promote mid- and long-term commercial growth by supporting to overall position Vestas as the preferred supplier based on our high quality service offerings and building a good Service Sales Team for Offshore in APAC.

Responsibilities

  • Commercial Leadership
  • Being overall accountable for delivering on revenue & profitability sales targets to meet / exceed budget for Offshore Service Sales across APAC
  • Establishing KPIs, PPIs and sub-targets for individual team members in line with the department’s and the overall APAC Offshore goals
  • Ensuring that the Service Sales Offshore team continuously builds and maintains a efficient pipeline in support of financial targets and strategic growth goals for Offshore
  • Ensuring adherence and smooth execution of sales process by the team throughout all deal phases (origination, early engagement, bidding, value engineering, negotiation & contracting)
  • Promoting the employment of value-based selling practices to achieve commercial standards that positions Vestas’ Offshore Services in the most compelling & competitive way
  • Engaging in internal stakeholder management to promote strategic & tactical alignments, enable clear goal setting & prioritization, and secure required supporting resources
  • Building and maintaining solid strategic relationships with customers and other key stakeholders in APAC’s key Offshore markets
  • Establishing and maintaining great market & competitor understanding
  • Developing commercial concepts and service offerings in collaboration with various internal regional & global stakeholders to optimize Vestas’ value proposition and ambitiousness in APAC Offshore markets
  • People & Organizational Leadership
  • Building and continuously recalibrating the Service Sales Offshore organization in line with the Offshore growth goals
  • Demonstrating & instilling Vestas’ values in the Service Sales Offshore team (incl. Safety & Compliance culture, Vestas corporate core values, commercial key behaviors)
  • Creating a departmental culture and work environment that enables great business performance, highest satisfaction, and loyalty of employees
  • Ensuring continuous professional and personal development of employees to support effective execution of their role & responsibilities and achievement of the department’s goals (incl. onboarding, annual development plans, trainings, continuous on-the-job guidance & mentoring)
  • Contributing to the APAC Service Commercial Leadership team to shape the strategic agenda and business culture of APAC Service and Service Commercial
  • Contributing to the APAC and global community for Offshore to shape the strategic business and organizational agenda

Qualifications

  • Bachelors / Masters degree in Business, Economics or Energy
  • Bachelors / Masters in technical area with relevant commercial experience or significant commercial affinity
  • Previous experience in an operational & commercial role in Offshore Wind of significant advantage
  • Relevant experience in the B2B sales environment, ideally in heavy industry or energy sector (e.g. WTG OEM, utilities, infrastructure, RE project development etc.) of advantage
  • Relevant experience in the energy & power industry of advantage
  • Great skills in English, both oral & written

  • Great written & verbal communication skills
  • Great commercial insight and financial literacy
  • Understanding of large infrastructure project economics and financial metrics
  • Good understanding of value-based selling principles and commercial creativity to create win-win situations for Vestas and its customers
  • Good people management and stakeholder management skills
  • Good interpersonal skills resulting in ability to develop & maintain good customer relationship
  • Team-oriented person with ability to work in a multi-cultural context as part of a global matrix organization
  • Global mind-set with ability to adapt to very direct communication & management style
  • Performance-driven and solution-oriented mindset
  • Great organizational and planning skills, including time management and coordination of key stakeholders
  • Good MS office skills, especially Power Point and Excel
