We are seeking a new Head of Programme for our globally recognised Humanitarian Innovation Fund (HIF) on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This is a key leadership role, where you will have the opportunity to shape and drive the HIF programme strategy, ensuring our initiatives make a meaningful impact within the humanitarian innovation ecosystem.

Through excellent leadership and decision making skills your role will be to ensure the HIF remains at the forefront of humanitarian innovation and provides high quality grant and innovation management support to HIF grantees by. Furthermore, you will be responsible for engaging with external stakeholders and working to secure funding for future crucial innovations.

Your application will need to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience within a senior programme management role within an NGO, civil society organisation, social enterprise, or similar.
  • Experience and understanding of the international humanitarian system and of the challenges and key stakeholders in the humanitarian sector.
  • Excellent knowledge and/or practical experience of innovation management for social impact
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Confident communicator with excellent writing, facilitation, capacity building and networking skills.
