Job SummaryDESCRIPTIONCan you lead large cross-functional teams to launch regulated hazardous materials storage compliance projects and initiatives? Are you comfortable digging into business requirements and collaborating with business and technical teams to launch new capabilities improving the customer experience? Do you have experience launching new initiatives with high-level stakeholders? Our MENA PARS team is looking for a Program Manager to plan and execute regional programs across Amazon MENA.This role requires working with different business owners across organization. This position involves regular communication with the senior management team on roadmaps, program updates, risks, and change management. The person in this role is the subject matter expert in the storage of regulated hazardous materials in UAE, KSA and Egypt.Responsibilities Identify and lead regulated hazardous materials storage improvement projects to drive towards a best in class regulated hazardous materials compliance program. Ensure regulatory requirements are met for existing and new products/processes by understanding product attributes to drive intended storage actions. Provide end-to-end regulated hazardous materials storage compliance project management support and guidance for business projects and initiatives. Work cross functionally with our risk management, real estate, engineering, business and software teams to ensure regulated hazardous materials storage compliance requirements are known and projects are carried out to delivery. Identify regulatory risks in new products and services and provide guidance for risk mitigations. Interpret new or changing regulations related to hazardous materials storage, construction codes, segregation of materials, drainage and containment, fire protection, ventilation, and electrical requirements to determine how it applies to business operations. Support new business initiatives to ensure regulated hazardous materials storage compliance. Develop and maintain relationships with retail, FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) and fulfillment center partners to capture and remediate concerns.Key job responsibilities Identify and lead regulated hazardous materials storage improvement projects to drive towards a best in class regulated hazardous materials compliance program. Our mission is to create, implement and support safe, compliant, efficient, and innovative storage processes and procedures for storage of hazmat inventory in Amazon facilities and emerging business models across the region. We focus on hazmat inventory within Amazon���s fulfillment network to ensure storage compliance and provide solutions to enable business initiatives.Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree 5+ years project management experience and demonstrated success. Regulated Hazardous Materials or other compliance experience Familiarity with GHS, and NFPA laws/codes Experience driving process improvement with technology Experience in fire prevention and fire protection design requirements for storage of hazardous materials in warehousing operations Experience implementing hazardous material storage solutions compliant with NFPA, FM Global, IFC, IBC, and other fire protection and building codes and standards, particularly NFPA30 and NFPA30B Familiarity interpreting and applying requirements of global fire and buildings codes, within UAE, KSA and Egypt. Experience using cross-team coordination, program management, and communication skills Experience in a regional role of a similar nature Fluency in Arabic and EnglishPreferred Qualifications B.Engineering / B.Chemistry/ B.Science MBA, Ph.D or related advanced degree. Certification and experience in dangerous goods or regulated hazardous materials compliance Strong verbal and written communication skills Exceptional organizational skills Ability to work independently and autonomously Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team Accomplished range of skills from high-level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reportingCompany – Amazon Middle East and NA FZJob ID: A1850431
