purpose
We are looking for a dynamic intern able to work individually with the citizenConnect team, taking care of our guests and hotels, enhancing the guest experience both pre-stay and post-stay and help ensuring that the citizenM values are infused in the guest journey. This is a work experience internship for citizenM customer service.
citizenConnect sits at the heart of citizenM hotels operations. We have one foot in operations and another foot in customer experience. We support our guests through every step of the guest journey and we also support our hotel teams when things go wrong. We are made up of three smaller teams: guest relations, first line basic IT support and online communications. We all share the day to day tasks, but there is an opportunity to deep dive into one of these three subjects. As an intern with citizenConnect, you will support us in our daily tasks in guest relations and online communications and you are part of the team!
Key Responsibilities

• guest services: proactively communicating with guests via various social media channels, whatsapp, online chat, email, & phone;
• knowledge on how to achieve the highest standards of attentive guest service
• handling guest’s reservations
• work with the guest FAQ database
• analyse and improve guest service, occasionally assisting the citizenConnect Team with various tasks, gaining experience in the overall guest journey
• …and most importantly, have fun while you’re at it!

Qualifications / Skills

• ability to handle multiple tasks;
• attention to details
• speak and write fluent in english and preferably either Mandarin or French
• self starter who shows initiative
• passionate about hospitality
• flexible, being able to work evenings or weekends if required
• MBO/HBO student
• internship of 6 months minimum
• for this internship, we will consider applicants already based in The Netherlands. You must be enrolled at your University/Institution for the whole duration of the internship

locations / hours

• the internship is based in citizenM Schiphol Airport Amsterdam, The Netherlands. This is a full-time position.
