Our team is proudly multicultural and multinational because that kind of diverse representation gives us the global mindset to grow and impact the people, markets, and trends around us.Come join us to live well, work better, and be the best.About The RoleWe are currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety professional to join our Group HSE function as a ‘Group Health & Safety In-charge’.This role is required to ensure the best quality of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) coordination, specialist support services within Al-Futtaim Group by providing technical guidance on legal compliance, safe work practices, risk assessment and OHS management systems in a competent manner to maintain all group OHS aspectsKey Accountabilities Health and Safety Management System Initiatives and Project Management Emergency Management Technical HSE Advise and Support Collaboration and Communication Government Relations EducationCandidate requirements Diploma in Engineering / Safety – equivalent or higher NEBOSH International General Certificate / IOSH Managing Safely – equivalent or higher Minimum Experience And Knowledge Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Health & Safety, Occupational Health / Industrial Hygiene field Knowledge of occupational health & safety, management systems design and implementation; audits, emergency management, project process management, international OHS standards and general knowledge of legal aspects in relation to Health and Safety Ability to execute the primary functions of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Job-Specific Skills Ability to speak, read and write in English, knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage; Analyse and evaluate issues and provide sound advice / recommendations; Develop effective and collaborative working relationships with colleagues, superiors and those contacted in the course of work.
